Pre-Baptism

The Sacrament of Baptism is so much more
than a magic moment that happens soon after
a child is born. It is a commitment to a
special way of life. A way of life that speaks
in itself of a belief in Jesus Christ as Lord.
The parents' faith leads to their child's Baptism.
As parents, you are asked to sponsor/initiate
your child, which calls you to present her/him
for Baptism and then to walk the faith journey
with him/her. This is a big, and sometimes,
frightening responsibility to undertake, and
as a Parish family we would like to help make
it easier.
Parents can call before the child is born
or soon afterwards. You
will be given the dates of the in-Parish
preparation meetings scheduled, then you can
schedule your child's Baptism.

Baptisms are celebrated every Sunday except
during Advent and Lent. One Sunday of the
month there is a celebration at 1:30 pm
that is a Baptism ceremony without Mass.
On other Sundays, Baptisms are scheduled
