Pre-Marriage

At St. Patrick's, a Pre-Marriage Program has been developed which taps the special,
loving talents of many couples in our faith community and offers strong, intimate
support to couples who are preparing for marriage.

Each engaged couple is assigned a sponsor couple. The sponsor couple works on a one-
to-one basis with the engaged couple, to help them develop a strong level of
communication.

 

The program includes a service in the church at which time the Church's teaching on
marriage as a Sacrament is explained and the engaged couple receives a special blessing.

This is followed by four sessions in the sponsor couple's home and a meeting on
Moral Maturity in Marriage which is held in the parish.
