Dating from around the world, the Knights of Columbus has a long-standing program called Family of the Month. Its purpose is to recognize Parish Families whose daily lives exhibit the Spirit of Columbianism. Each month, the council Family of the Month committee selects one parish family that models Christian family values and visibly lives them every day. Once a year, the council also will select one of the previous twelve Family of the Month awardees to represent the council/parish as the potential international Family of the Year.
The selected Family of the Month is drawn from the list of nominees and not chosen in a particular order.
If you would like to nominate someone you know for Family of the Month, please send an email to Bryan Lassen at [email protected] with any information you have about your nominee.
CONGRATULATIONS to the Mattina Family: Ashley, Vince, and their children Vanessa and Vincent for their recognition by St. Patrick Parish and the Knights of Columbus as Family of the Month for August. Both Vince and Ashley are deeply rooted in their faith as well as the school and the parish. They continue to set the example, not only for their own family, but for all of us, exemplifying Catholic faith values for how to live as Jesus has. Vince is responsible for many beautification projects around the parish campus including the renovated courtyard, the church cry room, plus many projects serving those in need. The Mattina’s continue to volunteer countless hours at parish and community events and projects.
